Over the past four years it’s been my joy to empower people with these precious gifts of the earth, & coach them as they begin a journey of integrating doTERRA essential oils into their lifestyle. I consider doTERRA, one piece of the puzzle when it comes to intentional living, wise creation stewardship & holistic health. Oils are both a gift & tool we use to take back the reigns & ownership of our personal & global health.
For our family, the introduction of doTERRA has meant we massively reduced our waste, expenses, toxic exposure, pollution & use of pharmaceuticals we were raised to turned to. I mean we literally have ZERO toxic cleaning products & no sprawling medicine cabinets. Just a tidy, streamlined box of little bottles, offering all the power of plants.
Beyond the bottle, doTERRA has unshackled us from the 9-5 & provided ample opportunity for us to travel & live in a variety of unique, beautiful & always interesting circumstances - from a beachside apartment in Sydney where I taught my first workshop, to our self-converted school bus, Nalu. In Canada we built a three-storey glass tiny house among the maples, then returned home to Australia to settle in a lake-side house on the Central Coast. Shortly after hanging the last painting on the wall we were evacuated during 2020 floods & then experienced months of “homelessness”, living in various forms of revamped garages of total strangers.
Eventually we choose to spend the remainder of 2020 in a quirky tiny house by the sea shore while we prepared our house deposit in record time! It was winter, we had no hot water in the kitchen, and the bathroom was a seperate outdoor build exposed to the elements where you could gaze at the sky & beautiful trees that surrounded you while simultaneously freezing your butt off as gusts of wind made the warm water nearly redundant. With three kids in tow, falling pregnant, a global pandemic going on, no family or established community yet, it was a tumultuous season. It sounds a bit doom & gloom when I put it like that, but there were actually a lot of perks to surrendering to this unique & often unideal situation. We found rhythm & lifestyle that flows abundantly with joy & blessings.
